There is a research that moves their seat of power to their titan. The Vasari loyalists can also stay alive in a Capital game, without having a capital planet. They have upgrades relating to their capital ships producing tax income and they also have an ability to abandon a colonised planet and strip it for all its worth, turning it into an asteroid and gaining a massive lump sum of resources. Are designed to have a strong economy without having many planets at all. But if you split them between rebels and loyalists things become different again. That is in essence the basics of each faction. The guide above is also a great asset to use. I didn't mention everything and most of it is my opinion, but I've been playing since Vanilla and that is about the jist of what I think of them. The loyalists steal ships with their titan while the rebel's titan destroys fleets and rezurects them for a few minutes. Every ship seems to work to better the fleet and their capital ships are awesome (imo). Their ships rely alot more on shields than hull/armour. Their economy is PROBABLY the worst, but I never felt at a huge disadvantage. They have a strong culture, but I don't think culture is worth much tbh (unless they fixed it recently). The advent is probably my most played faction. They have a chance to ignore shields and as such, are the bane of the Advent. Their phase missles are their bread and butter. It'll be very hard to get a huge fleet early on compared to the TEC. They are all about being everywhere all at once with their phase nodes(?) allowing them to basicly ignore phase lanes. Their economy is good, but not like the TEC. Vasari are (these are my least played so bear with me) more hit and run. Loyalists are alot more turtled while Rebels are all about conquest. The units don't have alot going for them other than they are cheaper and are easily produced. TEC is driven by its' economy, especially early game.
